Job Title: Sanitation Technician
Pay Rate: $20/hour
Location: Columbus, IN

About the Role:
This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant warehouse environment. The employee will be working in a cold warehouse environment. A strong attention to detail is critical to uphold food safety standards and prevent contamination
What You’ll Do
• Perform thorough cleaning and sanitizing of warehouse floors, walls, storage racks, and equipment using approved methods
• Follow detailed sanitation schedules and SOPs with precision and consistency
• Maintain strict adherence to shift start times, break schedules, and assigned tasks to support operational efficiency
• Carefully inspect areas before and after cleaning to ensure all sanitation standards are met
• Safely handle, mix, and store cleaning chemicals in compliance with safety guidelines
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment while ensuring no residue or contaminants remain
• Accurately complete sanitation logs and documentation for audits and compliance
• Identify and report any cleanliness, safety, or maintenance concerns immediately
• Support waste management and pest control efforts

What We’re Looking For
• Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Proven record of strong attendance, reliability, and punctuality in previous roles
• Prior sanitation or warehouse experience, preferably in food or dairy environments
• Familiarity with food safety standards (GMP, HACCP) is a plus
• High level of attention to detail and ability to follow instructions closely
• Ability to work in cold environments and perform physically demanding tasks
• Self-driven, able to work and stay productive without being micromanaged
• Able to work overtime in preparation for audits, visits etc.
• Ability to work in cold storage conditions typical of dairy warehouses
• Ability to have frequent exposure to water, cleaning agents, and slippery surfaces
• Must be able to stand, lift, bend, and repeat motions throughout the shift
• Need to have the ability to work in a high pace and activity environment

Shift: Monday – Friday, 6am – 2:30 pm, overtime as needed
