Job Title: Packagers
Pay Rate: $14 - $17.00
Location: Columbus, IN

About the Role:
This is a manufacturer of powdered beverages and foods. This position will follow core values of Respect, Safety, Customer Focus and Performance.
A Packager works in the production or processing department. This person supports the Operators and Leads in fulfilling customer orders. They will meet all requirements for food safety and quality and enable meeting production goals. The person in this role follows assigned tasks related to producing products for customers.
What You’ll Do
• Help operators meet production targets and goals for safety, quality, and quantity
• Package product including; build shippers, label, and apply seals
• Inspect products for defects
• Palletize
• Move full pallets of product using pallet jacks
• Keep area clean
• Deliver samples to QA
• Tape boxes.
• Learn special tasks – metal checks, allergen control, equipment cleaning, lot coding, equipment cleaning and sanitation, equipment assembly
• Engage in training to learn how to operate lines

What We’re Looking For
• Able to read and follow written procedures and customer specifications
• Able to stand, lift, and push for 8 – 10 hours
• Can lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
• Works effectively in a team environment
• Quick Learner
• Treats others with respect
• Demonstrates great attendance
• High school diploma or GED
• 120 days of prior manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to perform tasks safely to prevent injury to self and others
• Can demonstrate great attendance
• Represents a professional, respectful, and courteous manner when interacting with co-workers, leadership, customers, and suppliers
• Ability to work independently

Shift
• 1st shift, 7a – 3:30p, Mon – Fri, $14.00 (up to $16 with bonus)
• 2nd shift, 3:30p – 2a, Mon – Thursday, $15.00 (up to $17 with bonus)
