Production Operator

Job Title: Production Operator
Pay Rate: $18.00 / $18.90 hourly
Location: Columbus, IN

About the Role:
The right candidates will perform a combination of production-related tasks, such as; loading and unloading machinery, positioning work, setting up jobs, adjusting and operating machinery, moving and packing parts, etc. These roles are responsible for producing quality products for the next operation, and ultimately to customers.

What You’ll Do:
• Assist with line start up
• Material checks and handling
• Follow all quality procedures
• Record keeping of parts and info
• Assist other team members as directed
• Participate in 5S and continuous improvement activities
• Other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For:
• Ability to read kanbans
• Must be able to lift between 25 and 50 lbs
• Requires good math skills
• Operate fork truck preferred but not required
• Ability to wear appropriate PPE and follow all safety procedures
• Demonstrates good communication skills (verbal & oral
• Ability to stand for 8 to 10 hours
• Bending and squatting required
• Prior Manufacturing experience helpful

Shift:
Shifts depend on department you are placed in. All schedules are Monday to Friday with weekends required at times.
Days 5a – 5p / $18.00
Nights 5p – 5a / $18.90
1st 6a – 2:30p /$18.00
2nd 2p – 10:30p / $18.90
3rd 10p – 6:30a / $18.90
