Job Title: Bindery Operator
Pay Rate: $18.50/hour
Location: Indianapolis, IN

About the Role

We’re hiring Bindery Operators to join a fast-paced print and production environment in Indianapolis, IN. In this role, you’ll set up, adjust, operate, and maintain bindery and finishing equipment used to produce high-quality printed materials such as books, catalogs, manuals, magazines, and other finished products. This is a great opportunity for individuals with bindery, printing, or finishing machine experience who enjoy hands-on work with production equipment.

What You’ll Do

  • Set up, adjust, and operate bindery and finishing machines

  • Operate equipment such as folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, and binding/gluing machines

  • Monitor machine performance, quality, output, and productivity during production runs

  • Make adjustments to coordinate multiple workstations within machine systems

  • Inspect machinery and work areas to ensure safety compliance

  • Read and interpret work orders and production specifications

  • Ensure finished products meet quality and dimensional standards

  • Support and direct production crew during operations

  • Train and mentor team members on procedures and best practices

  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform machine adjustments as needed

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

  • Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous bindery, printing, or finishing machine experience required

  • Ability to read and interpret production work orders and job specifications

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

  • Experience operating automated bindery machinery and production equipment

  • Ability to calculate measurements and machine adjustments accurately

  • Knowledge of coated and uncoated paper stock and finishing requirements preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment

  • Leadership or training experience preferred
