Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Pay Rate: $18/hr
Location: West Lafayette, IN
About the Role
We’re hiring a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to support building, equipment, and system maintenance in a dynamic environment. In this role, you’ll help ensure a safe and fully functional facility by performing repairs, preventative maintenance, and general upkeep. This is a great opportunity for a hands on professional who enjoys problem solving and varied daily work.
What You’ll Do
Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify issues
Repair faulty equipment and damaged structures
Perform general maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting, and carpentry
Manage and maintain heating, plumbing, electrical, and A/C systems
Plan and schedule repairs and preventative maintenance
Conduct routine quality checks to ensure systems are operating properly
Maintain inventory records for equipment and supplies
Assist in developing preventative maintenance procedures and department budgets
Respond to residential service requests in a timely manner
Prepare vacant units for market ready status through repairs and improvements
Adapt to changing workflows and meet deadlines
What We’re Looking For
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid Indiana driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles
Minimum of 2 years of maintenance or related experience
Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and construction systems
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs
Comfortable working in various weather conditions
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and be on call when needed
Strong problem solving, communication, and organizational skills
Knowledge of OSHA and safety standards
