Job Title: Inventory Specialist
Pay Rate: $17/hr
Location: West Lafayette, IN

About the Role

We’re hiring an Inventory Specialist to support maintenance operations by managing materials, supplies, tools, and equipment. In this role, you’ll help ensure technicians have what they need to complete work efficiently by maintaining accurate inventory, coordinating orders, and keeping operations organized. This is a great opportunity for someone who is detail oriented and enjoys supporting behind the scenes operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of maintenance materials, tools, and supplies

  • Organize and maintain clean, clearly labeled storage areas

  • Track inventory usage and identify trends to ensure consistent availability

  • Assist with ordering parts, supplies, and materials; track deliveries and verify accuracy

  • Work with vendors to obtain quotes, compare pricing, and coordinate returns or exchanges

  • Maintain records for tools, equipment, warranties, and service schedules

  • Track and log company owned equipment issued to and returned by technicians

  • Perform annual inventory audits and periodic cycle counts

  • Prepare inventory reports and identify discrepancies or improvement opportunities

  • Stage and coordinate materials for maintenance work orders and preventative maintenance tasks

  • Receive and log incoming shipments and verify against purchase orders

  • Maintain vendor relationships and coordinate delivery schedules

  • Identify cost saving opportunities and support material budgeting efforts

  • Ensure safe handling and storage of materials in compliance with safety guidelines

  • Assist with documentation for inspections, audits, and regulatory requirements
