Pay Rate: $19/hour

About the Role

We’re hiring a Machine Operator to support a 2nd shift metal finishing operation in Indianapolis. In this role, you’ll operate and monitor production equipment, including an overhead crane and anodizing line, while ensuring products meet quality and production standards. Previous anodizing experience is not required. Training is provided for dependable, safety-focused individuals who are ready to learn specialized manufacturing skills.

What You’ll Do

  • Operate and monitor equipment on a metal finishing production line

  • Safely operate an overhead crane to move materials through the production process

  • Monitor processing times, temperatures, and equipment throughout production

  • Follow work orders, production instructions, and established processes

  • Inspect finished products for appearance, color, coating, and overall quality

  • Make basic equipment and process adjustments as needed

  • Identify and communicate quality, equipment, or production concerns

  • Complete required production documentation accurately

  • Assist with basic troubleshooting as experience develops

  • Follow safety procedures when working around industrial equipment and chemical processing areas

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous manufacturing, production, or machine operator experience preferred

  • Previous anodizing experience is not required; training is provided

  • Anodizing, plating, coating, metal finishing, or similar experience is a plus

  • Overhead crane experience is a plus

  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment

  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions and production processes

  • Strong attention to quality and detail

  • Ability to distinguish differences in product color and finish

  • Comfortable working around industrial equipment and chemical processing areas

  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a production team

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Willingness and ability to complete required drug and alcohol testing

  • Physical Requirements

    • Ability to regularly lift and move 10–50 pounds

    • Ability to occasionally assist with heavier materials weighing more than 100 pounds

    • Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift

    • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as required

    • Ability to safely work around loud equipment, dust, fumes, and solvents

    • Comfortable working in temperatures that may vary by season
