Job Title: Racker
Pay Rate: $16.00/hour

About the Role
We’re hiring Racker - Tech I associates for a hands-on metal manufacturing and finishing operation in Indianapolis. In this role, you’ll prepare and position metal parts for the finishing process, work with basic hand tools, follow work orders, and inspect products for accuracy and quality. No previous metal finishing experience is required. Training is provided.
What You’ll Do
Prepare, position, and rack metal parts for the finishing process
Hang and remove parts from production racks
Follow work orders and daily production schedules
Match parts and materials to the correct work order
Use basic hand tools, fasteners, and production equipment
Set up racks and tooling based on job requirements
Count parts and verify quantities for accuracy
Inspect parts and completed work for quality
Complete basic production paperwork
Identify and report damaged tools, equipment, or product concerns
Work with production team members to meet daily goals
Follow all workplace and production safety procedures
Maintain a clean and organized work area
What We’re Looking For
No previous metal finishing experience required; training is provided
Manufacturing, production, assembly, warehouse, or other hands-on experience is a plus
Comfortable working with your hands and using basic tools
Ability to follow work instructions and production schedules
Strong attention to detail and quality
Ability to accurately count and identify parts and materials
Willingness to learn new manufacturing processes
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to work independently after completing training
Must be 18 years of age or older
Willingness and ability to complete required drug and alcohol testing
Physical Requirements
Ability to regularly lift and move 10–50 pounds
Ability to occasionally assist with heavier materials weighing more than 100 pounds
Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift
Ability to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as required
Ability to perform repetitive hands-on tasks throughout the workday
Comfortable working around industrial equipment, loud sounds, dust, fumes, and solvents
Comfortable working in temperatures that may vary by season
