Pay Rate: $24.27/hour + $2.65/hour shift differential
Location: Lafayette, IN 47905 — CAT South Street

About the Role

We are hiring experienced CMM Operators to support machining and quality inspection operations at CAT South Street. In this role, you will set up and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect machined components, analyze measurement data, and maintain quality standards throughout production. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with strong mechanical aptitude, manufacturing experience, and a commitment to quality.

What You’ll Do

• Set up, operate, and adjust Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).

• Inspect machined components at various stages of production.

• Analyze measurement data and inspection results.

• Communicate CMM reports to machinists and supervisors.

• Identify quality issues and assist with corrective actions.

• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What We’re Looking For

• Prior CMM or related manufacturing experience required.

• Excellent attendance and a strong work history.

• Proven hands-on experience and mechanical aptitude.

• Computer literacy, including experience with Excel and drafting programs.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.

Preferred Experience

• Machining experience.

• CNC experience is a major plus.

• 3D printing experience.

• Crane operation experience.

Candidates do not need experience in every preferred area, but strong mechanical knowledge and proven skills are essential.

Shift

• 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM.

• Shift Differential: Additional $2.65/hour.

• Total Hourly Rate: $26.92/hour, including the shift differential.
